Rio de Janeiro – The oil giant brazilian Petrobras was recovered Thursday, a little over a billion réais ($274 million) corresponding to a portion of the diverted sums in the context of the huge corruption scandal the “Cleaning Express”, announced the company on Thursday.
The sum is the amount of money returned by physical persons or legal entities in the framework of collaboration agreements with the general prosecutor’s office and the investigators, said Petrobras.
With this new restitution, the largest since the launch of the survey in 2014, the oil company recovered $ 2.5 billion réais.
The operation “Wash-Express” (Lava Jato, Portuguese) has uncovered a vast network of payments of bribes related to public contracts for Petrobras.
